The DFW Christmas Tree Photo Ops That Make Your Timeline Twinkle

Updated: Dec 5, 2022

This is the most wonderful time of the year because it's so merry and bright! Here's a list of all the best and brightest Christmas tree photo ops around Dallas and Fort Worth to include with your family Christmas card or just to make your feed a little merrier this holiday season. We'll be sure and update this post with a few more as more tree lighting ceremonies are held.

1. galleria

Your Insta feed is absolutely BEGGING you to get a few selfies with the tallest indoor Christmas tree in the nation, which is up now at the Galleria! Ice skaters twirling, lights twinkling and the mega-huge 100-pound, 10-foot tall LED-lit star at the top — it's a SCENE. The giant tanenbaum soars 95 feet in the air and is adorned with 450,000 lights and 10,000 ornaments, y'all.

2. Fort Worth Stockyards

There are so many fun and festive things to do around the Stockyards this year, and while you're out enjoying one of our favorite parts of town, be sure to stop by and get some pics with the gorgeous Stockyards Christmas tree!

3. the adolphus

There's just so much holiday charm at the Adoluphus at every turn, isn't there? Their ever-so extravagant Christmas tree is even more impressive in person! It’s the perfect spot for a LIT gram worthy photo after you enjoy Holiday Tea or drinks at the Cocoa Lounge!

4. sundance square

The signature tree in Downtown Fort Worth is more than 75 feet tall this year — and that's before the giant gleaming star on top! For comparison, the tree in New York City's Rockefeller center is 82 feet tall. It's glorious, it's magical, and you and your loved ones will definitely want pics by this tree this holiday season!

5. hotel vin/grapevine main Street

If you haven't heard, Grapevine is the Christmas Capital of Texas, and they've got holiday spirit oozing from every nook and cranny on Main Street this time of year! While your strolling, shopping and taking it all in, be sure to stop at Hotel Vin, which has amazing Christmas tree photo ops both indoors and out! They've also got cozy ski lodge bubbles you can rent and a beautiful ice skating rink!

6. ruibal's at the farmers market

This is one of our absolute fave photo ops every year, because not only can you get the endless sea of Christmas trees for sale at Ruibal's in your photo, but you can also get the Dallas skyline in the background!

7. shops at legacy

The Shops at Legacy in Plano is decked out for the holidays as well! Their beautiful sparkling tree welcomes shoppers, diners and holiday revelers as they look for the perfect gifts and sips along the way!

8. hotel drover

Hotel Drover in the Stockyards is one of the most scenic and beautiful spots in Fort Worth, and it's even more incredible when the place is lit up for the holidays!

9. hall arts hotel

We absolutely love the flocked-in-white look that Hall Arts is giving this year. It's a winter wonderland inside even when it's frustratingly warm outside! Pose for the perfect holiday shot with your crew before you head to Ellie's for a bite, or with your festive cocktail in hand from the bar!

10. at&T discovery district

The tree at AT&T Discovery District is a sight to behold, and it will be officially lit for the 2022 holiday season on Saturday, Dec. 3. The event will feature a caricature artist and live music, starting at 7 p.m.! Then, throughout the season, be sure to get your pics with the huge, decked out tree on your way to the Bad Santa holiday pop-up bar for festive drinks and live entertainment.

11. The Mayor's Tree at Klyde Warren Park

They're calling the 48-foot tree at Klyde Warren Park “The Mayor's Tree” this year, as The City of Dallas wants to make Klyde Warren the city's official Christmas park. The Mayor's Tree weighs nearly 5,000 pounds, and it will display 37,520 multi-colored LED lights and 3,836 multicolored ornaments. It will be positioned on the south end of Hart Boulevard, the Park's main pedestrian thoroughfare, through January 9, 2023. The tree lighting ceremony takes place on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 3-6 p.m. and is free to attend!
